BLS for Healthcare Providers 

Who: required for anyone in the healthcare profession, enrolled in schooling or training for the healthcare profession… or anyone for whom the class is required for employment.  

Where is it accepted: Local healthcare systems- including UCHealth, Intermountain, Children’s Hospital Colorado, and Denver Health- as well as nursing, EMT, and dental programs require Instructor-led BLS Certification with a hands-on skills component overseen by a qualified AHA Instructor. Courses completed through self-guided or kiosk-style formats- such as HeartCode Complete-do not meet this requirement and are not accepted by these programs, regardless of the eCard issued.

When in doubt, confirm requirements with your clinical coordinator or program director before registering anywhere.
