Frequently Asked Questions

And the answers.

What do I wear?

Something comfortable, for sure.  We will be demonstrating CPR skills on manikins on the floor. Out of consideration for others in the class, please do not wear perfumes or colognes.

How do I claim my BLS card?

All cards are issued electronically. Within 3 business days of completing a course, you will receive an email from ecards@heart.org with a link to claim your e-card.  You may also text “ecard” to 51736, if the mobile number you’re texting from is linked to your registration and you will receive a reply text with a link to claim your e-card.

When does my certification expire?

Course completion cards are valid for two years-through the end of the month in which it was issued.  For example: if you took a course on January 17th 2020, then your certification is good through the end of January of 2022.

Cancellation policy?

We follow mandatory AHA and ENA guidelines for student/instructor ratios, and staffing/space is based on the number of students registered.  If a student cancels or asks to reschedule within 48 hours of a course start time, Foothills CPR will retain that student’s deposit, or ½ of a full payment. No refund will be given for cancellations within 24 hours of a class start time, or no calls/no shows-to account for the unused registration spot, and if there is a balance owed, the original payment method used for a deposit will be charged for that balance.  Students may reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours in advance without penalty. Out of courtesy to others in the class and instructors, please be on time. We do understand that occasionally emergencies happen, so please reach out as soon as you know there’s an issue.

*Rarely, classes will need to be canceled or rescheduled based on a low census. We do understand the inconvenience this may cause, and do keep these instances to a minimum. Foothills CPR will let students know of these situations as early as possible, and provide options.

Do I need a book?

The AHA requires each student enrolled in a BLS or more advanced course to have access to a provider’s manual.  One can be purchased from us, borrowed from us, or if you prefer an electronic version, those can be purchased at WorldPoint: https://www.worldpoint.com/20-1102

If you’re renewing your certification, you might already have the book.  Please contact me before purchasing if there are any questions at all.

I have a group of people. Do you do on-site training?

Absolutely! We can train at an office, church, school-pretty much anywhere! For groups of 4 or more, please call us at 303.594.6935, or email info@fhcpr.com
